"Wild Hogs" Dudley Frank (William Macy) Jacket

We have all had those defining moments when we noticed a film personality on the silver screen wearing a fantastic leather jacket. Or maybe you fell in love with James Dean’s iconic red windbreaker. You thought it looked so great and you knew someday you would have one just like it. This is a forum to discuss those jackets.

"Wild Hogs" Dudley Frank (William Macy) Jacket

Postby Rick » Fri Jun 08, 2007 3:50 am

While the "Dudley Frank" jacket is probably not the most sought-after jacket on the site, nor is William Macy's character the one we are trying to emulate, nevertheless it is our duty to post the jacket photos and identify the original manufacturer of film jackets.

This jacket is very obviously a Belstaff and I have added it to the main site page here. It is great of Belstaff to put that emblem on the sleeve as it really helps. The pockets were textbook Belstaff though.

If anyone has further information about this jacket, please let me know. It looks like it is either the "New Panther" style or maybe the "Centaur" style.

While reviewing this movie and getting new photos, I noticed that the artificial aging of the jacket seems to be all over the place. Multiple jackets, stuntmen or lighting?

This is another nice one from Belstaff.

This is Leather not wax cotton correct?

The shoulders and elbows look more padded or raised than others I've seen.

Hi Rick, I can confirm this is the Belstaff Centaur as it's exactly the same as mine (with the exception of the Hog patch! ). It's leather with Belstaff's Elastoseam joints. I'd say it's in the lightweight summer leather, too.

I actually loved his jacket. And even if the movie was "bad" by movie critics opinion. I actually enjoyed the movie for what it was.

How can you NOT have that patch! Oh, and the leather helmet is a must, even if just walking around town. A great look.

I am trying to locate the Belstaff Centaur jacket that William H Macy wears in Wild Hogs to buy online, does anyone no where I can buy one? The official Belstaff website has them on the site but does not sell them, can anyone help please.

Hi TheFedoraGuy, this is covered here. It's the Elastoseam joints which really make it different.
